The Diva Project is the philanthropic arm of Diva by Cindy hair care system. The Diva Project seeks to heal, restore, and transform women affected by domestic violence by giving them a day of beauty and healing. Launched in 2004, The Diva Project transforms appearances and changes the lives of women. Sales from Diva by Cindy support The Diva Project. For each product sold, $1.00 is donated to the cause of eradicating domestic violence against women. There are six guiding principles that guide both Diva by Cindy and The Diva Project. Diva by Cindy was the first ever multi ethnic hair brand to open a Natural Hair Care Brand at the Baltimore Washington International (BWI) airport. BWI and Airmall have given small minority businesses such as Cindy's, an opportunity to showcase their products and/or services. Diva by Cindy is pleased to have partnered with BWI and Airmall. Now, “Diva by Cindy Takes Wings”, and is looking forward to expanding her brand beyond its current borders.

Cindy hails from Ghana, West Africa and initially worked as a Registered nurse before pursuing her dream of entrepreneurship. At the age of sixteen, Cindy was inspired by a chemistry teacher and began experimenting with making beauty products. Because of her passion for chemistry and her desire to help others, Cindy created the Diva by Cindy hair care line in 2007 and has continuously moved forward to improve the lives of women.
